We are currently looking for an Engineering Apprentice (Casting and Moulding Trade) to join the team.Ìý
Working with qualified and skilled Trades people,Ìýyou will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support. Ìý
Duties will involve: Ìý
- Making sand moulds
- Painting and closing sand moulds
- Assisting with pouring of molten metal into sand moulds
- Carry out mechanical cutting and grinding of castings
- ​Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environmentÌý
- Heat treating of castings and inspection of the castings
- Operating induction furnace
The successful candidate will:ÌýÌý
- Be a confident communicatorÌý
- Be able to undertake manual/physical workÌý
- Motivated with a genuine interest in theÌýfabricationÌýindustryÌý
- Be trustworthy and reliableÌý
- ​Have a high level of attention to detailÌý
Suitable applicants must have a genuine interest in pursuing Foundry as a career path, be motivated and willing to work hard to get trade qualified.Ìý
The successful candidate will undergoÌýCertificate III in Engineering - Casting and moulding Trade. Ìý
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.Ìý
